The egregious situation involving a Latina candidate for Secretary of State in Missouri recently posting a disrespectful video targeting the Black community fries my stomach, demonstrating a clear exhibition of racism. I write this petition with a heavy heart as this act of racism not only condemns a group due to their ethnicity, but also disrespects the values upon which the United States was founded: equality, justice and freedom.

Such evidence of racism, whether it comes from naturalized citizens or immigrants, is unacceptable. It goes against the Anti-Discrimination Act that exists to prevent any form of racial discrimination and promote a more tolerant society. Yet, annual FBI hate crime statistics have shown an increase in racial hate crimes, of which a significant number result from racial prejudices harbored by certain immigrants. (FBI Hate Crime Statistics, 2020 Report).

In America, we stand united under the cause of mutual respect and acceptance, regardless of our ethnic or racial backgrounds. This incident is an unfortunate indication that we need to enforce stricter laws and penalties against acts of racial prejudice. Immigrants who intentionally enable and exhibit such behavior should be held accountable for their actions.

Therefore, we urge lawmakers to enact legislation that deport immigrants exhibiting racist behaviors, as these individuals threaten the harmonious fabric of our diverse society. The action called for is not about limiting immigration, but about proliferating stringent consequences for hate speech and causing communal disharmony. I state all property and assets of the immigrant is to be sized by the DOJ and distributed out to an HOMELESS AMERICAN VETERAN!
