Demand Democratic candidates support the abolition of ICE

The Issue

In the wake of yet another senseless act of violence — this time the cold-blooded killing of an innocent person in Minnesota by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer — we must say:

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

ICE has long operated without accountability, tearing families apart, trampling on civil rights, and spreading fear in immigrant communities across the country. What happened in Minnesota is not an isolated tragedy — it’s the predictable result of a system built on cruelty and dehumanization.

We are calling on every Democratic candidate for federal office — for the U.S. House, Senate, and President — to publicly and unequivocally support the complete abolition of ICE.

It is not enough to promise “reform.” The agency’s record of abuse demonstrates that reform is impossible; its very structure was designed for mass detention, deportation, and intimidation. It must be dismantled completely, and its necessary functions, such as those related to customs and trade, should be reassigned to agencies that operate under strict accountability and human rights standards.

By signing this petition, we are demanding that Democratic leaders:

Commit to legislation that dismantles ICE and ends its enforcement authority. Pledge to redirect its funding toward humane immigration systems — including community-based asylum processes, legal support, and pathways to citizenship. Condemn all acts of ICE-related violence and call for justice for victims and families. This moment demands courage, not caution. The Democratic Party must take a stand — not just against individual abuses, but against the system that makes those abuses inevitable.

Abolish ICE. Protect our communities. Build a just, humane immigration system for all.
