Many children are groomed or targeted by predators every year on platforms like Roblox, and I cannot stand by and let that happen. This is a concern that demands immediate action—not just from concerned parents and guardians, but especially from those who have the power to make real changes, such as David Baszucki, the CEO of Roblox.

Addressing the rampant issue of online predators targeting young users should be a top priority for anyone leading such an influential platform. Innocent children deserve safety in all their online interactions, and robust measures must be implemented to ensure their protection. Roblox leadership needs to take decisive action to prevent harmful behavior and remove individuals who pose a threat to children’s safety from the platform.

Equally important is listening to the community’s voice regarding desired features. Roblox has long been a hub for creativity and innovation, and player and developer input is invaluable. Implementing features such as local private server hosting—which allows players to control who joins their games—and giving users more control over Filtering Enabled (FE) could greatly enhance the user experience. These tools would give developers and players the flexibility they need while maintaining safety. Popular Roblox YouTubers like Schlep (RealSchlep) have been actively exposing and helping remove harmful actors from the platform, raising awareness and protecting players. Shockingly, Schlep was banned for supposedly making the community “unsafe,” even though he was the one actually keeping the community safe. I support his work because he is doing what many users want—maintaining safety and exposing dangerous actors.

David Baszucki must either step up to these challenges and deliver meaningful changes or step aside to allow someone capable of prioritizing child safety and community needs. It is essential for Roblox leadership to act swiftly, listen to the community, and implement measures that protect users while supporting creativity and engagement.
