I wanted to share a recent correspondence I had regarding discrepancies in public records responses from CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI). After several requests for incident reports, I received conflicting information that raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability in handling public records requests. Despite clear evidence indicating otherwise, CSUCI has repeatedly stated that I am not mentioned in key reports, which directly contradicts the documents I have received.
I’ve taken the next step to request a thorough review of the matter, demanding full disclosure of the incident reports. These actions highlight a growing issue of misinformation and obstruction that undermines public trust and violates the principles of the California Public Records Act.
Transparency and accountability should be non-negotiable, and I will continue to advocate for the rightful access to information. Below is the letter I’ve sent to CSUCI, addressing these discrepancies and demanding immediate resolution.
