Demand council & authorities Close chaple view liveries due to Animal neglect
The Issue
For too long, we, horrified local community members, have witnessed the unimaginable abuse of animals at Chapel View Liveries. The farm animals, who should be protected and cared for, have been subjected to horrific conditions and treatment. The reported cases, our personal observations, and insiders' testimonies paint a horrifying view of the current existing conditions. This shocking animal abuse continues unabated, and our pleas to Wyre Council have thus far fallen on deaf ears.
Studies have highlighted the need for animal welfare legislation and a more stringent inspection system. According to the RSPCA, there were around 21,400 cases of animal cruelty reported in 2019 alone in the UK (RSPCA Cruelty Line Statistics). This number is disturbingly high and possibly just the tip of the iceberg. We must not let Chapel View Liveries contribute to these appalling numbers anymore.
Reports of animal abuse often indicate a bigger societal problem - evidence shows a link between animal cruelty and human violence (Ascione, 2001). This issue goes beyond just the well-being of animals; it directly impacts our society's overall safety and infrastructural worthiness.
Therefore, we urge Wyre Council to take immediate and strong action. Forced closure of Chapel View Liveries will send a clear message: we as a community do not tolerate animal cruelty or neglect, and we demand respect for all beings. Please join us in this fight to save the lives of innocent animals and hold Chapel View Liveries accountable.
We are asking the local authorities to close the yard whilst an investigation takes place
