Demand Conservice and Scion to Cease Overcharging Tenants for Unused Utilities

The Issue

My roommates and I, residents of a 4-bedroom apartment in Statesboro, GA, were recently charged a $50 overage each. This means that after our $50 allowances, we "spent" $400 for utilities in just one month. This is an unrealistic amount that clearly indicates a problem with the metering or billing system. We are not alone in this predicament; numerous tenants have reported similar issues with Conservice and Scion.

These companies are known to provide utility management services to many properties across the country. However, there is growing concern about their billing practices. According to the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org), there has been a significant increase in complaints related to overbilling by utility companies like Conservice and Scion.

It's time we stand up against these unjust practices that exploit tenants who have no choice but to pay these inflated bills due to fear of eviction or legal action. We demand that Conservice and Scion immediately stop overcharging tenants for utilities they did not use, conduct an audit on their metering systems, and refund any overcharges made due to faulty meters or erroneous billing.

We call upon local government officials in Statesboro, GA, as well as state regulators at the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC), to investigate these allegations promptly and thoroughly. The residents of Statesboro deserve fair treatment from utility providers.

Please sign this petition if you believe in justice for all tenants facing unfair charges from their utility providers!
