Demand Congress Investigate ICE Arrests of 75,000 Non-Criminal Immigrants

The Issue

New data just revealed that ICE has arrested nearly 75,000 people with no criminal records in the first nine months of the Trump administration — more than a third of all ICE arrests during that time.

This directly contradicts what the public was promised: that immigration enforcement would focus on individuals with serious criminal histories. Instead, tens of thousands of people — many of them parents, workers, and long-time U.S. residents — have been swept up in dragnet raids with no charges or convictions on record.

Even more alarming, internal pressure from the White House played a role. According to reports, senior ICE officials were threatened with firing if they didn’t arrest 3,000 migrants a day.

That kind of enforcement quota system is not just inhumane — it’s ripe for abuse.

We’re calling on Congress to launch an immediate investigation into these arrests. Lawmakers must determine:

How many non-criminal immigrants were detained?
What role did political pressure and quotas play?
Why was ICE’s public data reporting suspended?
How are families and communities being impacted?

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a federal agency funded by taxpayer dollars. The American people have a right to know whether it is operating with integrity — or rounding up people to meet daily targets.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about transparency, accountability, and human dignity.

Add your name to demand that Congress investigate the mass arrests of immigrants with no criminal record — and ensure ICE is held to the standards it claims to follow.
