As an Australian citizen, I am deeply concerned about the state of our current government. Honesty, human rights, and animal welfare are not just important to me - they are fundamental pillars of a just society. Yet, it seems our government is failing us on these fronts. We have witnessed instances where members cover up information that isn’t factual and hide behind closed doors when we demand answers. This is not the transparent governance we deserve.

Australia ranks 13th in the global corruption index according to Transparency International (2020). This ranking reflects a need for significant improvement in terms of transparency and accountability within our governmental structures.

Furthermore, Australia's performance on human rights has been criticised by international organizations like Amnesty International due to issues such as mandatory detention policies for asylum seekers and violations against Indigenous peoples' rights. Australia is in the world limelight at the moment due to allowing the cruel inhumane massacre of brumbies. Australia has one of the worse animal welfare problems like the RSPCA and the DPI. For years now Australians have been saying RSPCA and the DPI are not trustworthy and are not doing their job.

Over the last twelve months it has become the government that does not care for its people. The Australian Government has not got the priorities of Australians in mind but their own set agenda with selfish and egotistical media plays and agendas. Cost of living is sky high, the health system is in crisis, the justice system is falling apart and mental health care is just about non existent but the government want to waste money on closing one of Australians National parks and waste millions of dollars of tax payers money to cause a blood massacre of inhumane and cruel shooting of the iconic Australian Brumby. The government have lied about numbers, research and have broke their own law in doing so. The Government is corrupt and on personal agendas of cruel intentions. Then try and cover up their mistakes when proven wrong scientifically, with videos and it basically being that extreme it’s impossible. If there were 22000 brumbies in KNP you would be walking on horse poo every step and you wouldn’t be able to move from the vast number. So far all other counts have been below 3000 under the quota of the number the government said was sustainable in the park. 

RSPCA for years now has been a joke and a disgrace to any worldwide animal welfare organisation. RSPCA are not there for all creatures great and small but to fill their own wallets. The RSPCA and it’s
Animal welfare has been compromised with numerous reports of cruelty towards animals in various sectors including the blood massacre of înhumane shooting of the iconic Australian Brumby but nothing being done. 

It’s time to have a government that listens and is there for true blue Australians; a government that upholds honesty, respects human rights, prioritises animal welfare; a government that thinks of its people in all areas, a government that embodies the spirit of Australia.
