900 Helmcken Update: We won, but we’re not done

Dear Neighbours, 

This week’s news was worth celebrating, but cancelling the 900 Helmcken site is a beginning, not an ending.

The Province still hasn't told us what will happen with the site, and until we know, our work isn't done. 

Our goal? We want a genuine say in what comes next, and we don't believe this is the right location for services like these. We'll keep making that case, clearly and constructively, until our neighbourhood's future is one we've helped shape.

That's how we take our neighbourhood back, by staying engaged, staying organized, and continuing to raise our voices together.

And it's why our Residents Forum is still going ahead.

We've invited Minister of Health Ravi Kahlon and Vancouver Coastal Health, along with Mayor Ken Sim, VPD Chief Steve Rai, the Downtown Vancouver BIA, and other community leaders, and we sincerely hope they'll join us at the table.
