I am a resident of Monument Court in Stevenage, UK. This issue is personal to me and my fellow residents as we are directly affected by the estimated service charges set by Clarion for the period of 01/04/2024 - 31/03/2025. We have noticed discrepancies and believe that these charges need to be recalculated.

Clarion's current estimates seem inconsistent with previous years' trends. According to data from the Office for National Statistics, service charges typically increase at a rate similar to inflation (source: ONS). However, Clarion's proposed increase far exceeds this trend without any clear justification. Overall service charges have more than doubled, the utility charges bear no resemblance to averages or previous years, and the Managing Agent charge has more than tripled!

We are not against paying our fair share for services provided. But we demand transparency and fairness in how these costs are calculated. The financial burden placed on us due to these inflated estimates can be crippling, especially during these challenging economic times.

We urge Clarion to review their calculations and provide us with a detailed breakdown of how they arrived at their figures. It is important that residents like myself feel confident that we are being charged fairly and accurately.
