Demand Chartwells to Improve School Meals or West Sussex County Council to Find Alternatives

The Issue

As a parent in Worthing, UK, I am deeply concerned about the quality of school meals provided by Chartwells. My children come home every day complaining about the food and their stomachs rumble with hunger. This is not an isolated issue - many children echo these sentiments, expressing dissatisfaction with the meals.

We rely on these school meals due to our limited income. It's distressing that despite this reliance, our children are not receiving nutritious and satisfying food during their school day. This situation is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

According to a report from The Food Foundation (2018), one in four children in the UK are overweight or obese when they start primary school. By providing substandard meals, we risk exacerbating this public health crisis.

We call upon Chartwells to significantly improve the quality of their school meals immediately. If they cannot meet this demand, we urge West Sussex County Council to find alternative provision for our children's nutrition at school.

Please sign this petition if you believe that every child deserves access to healthy and satisfying food at school.
