Voters get their voting information only from television. 

They don't read manifestos. They don't understand how we are governed, nothing about politics, about politicians, parliament, any of it. 

Hartlepool proved that with the old father and his adult son not knowing that Labour was not in government, but on the opposition benches only. The BBC journalist Chris Mason on BBC Breakfast did not correct the two men and ignored the ignorance. 

As Gandhi observed, peoples' politics are their daily bread. 

But also all mainstream media and politics in general discriminates against women over 50, with their ageism sexism so deeply embedded, that they scapegoat us, blame us for anything and everything, just as racists do for people of colour. 

The only way we can start a party for Over 50s women (but what we get, men would get) and subtitled From Cradle to Grave, is full access to television, for free, and regular, to challenge and refute the discrimination against us.
