We are calling on city leaders to allocate adequate funding and resources to bring animal control back under City management. This will ensure:

• Stronger enforcement of spay/neuter laws, pit bull spay/neuter ordinances, adequate housing laws, and dangerous dog designations
• More accountability and transparency in handling animal control cases
• More officers and resources to respond to cases of neglect, abuse, and public safety concerns
• Better conditions for animals, with improved sheltering and care

Right now, underfunding and outsourcing have weakened enforcement, leaving animals and our community at risk. We must demand a fully funded, City-run animal control system that prioritizes enforcement and animal welfare.
