Demand Chamberlain University to Advocate for Students Affected by Database Leak and Unfair Exam Changes
The Issue
I am a student at Chamberlain University, one of many deeply impacted by a recent and significant issue: a database leak. This unexpected circumstance led to national remaking exams, which invariably did not cover the content we were diligently provided and studiously adhered to. It has forced many of us to the brink of expulsion or course repetition, detrimentally impacting our academic future and well-being.
With a student population of over 26,000 spread across 22 campuses (source: Chamberlain University website), the magnitude of this issue is immense. Thousands of students are being held responsible for a lapse on the institution's part, compelled to bear the academic consequences of a leak they had no control over or part in.
Chamberlain University must step up to advocate for their students. They need to acknowledge the state of emergency that their students find themselves in due to the shift in exam structure and content. A change of this scale requires clear communication, support mechanisms, and certain amends to aid the affected students and not leave them feeling so uncertain.
The toll this has taken on student lives is severe and requires immediate rectification. The institution's response to this crisis will set a precedent for how educational entities should respond to unforeseen internal issues that indirectly affect their stakeholders.
Let's demand that Chamberlain University take immediate measures to alleviate the undue hardship for its students. By signing this petition, we urge Chamberlain University to stand up for their students' rights and ensure that no student is unjustly penalized for their administrative lapses. Let's demand fairness, empathy, and justice for affected students of Chamberlain University. Please sign this petition and help us garner the attention and action this issue warrants.
