Demand Cescaphe Prevent Noise Pollution at the Waterworks

The Issue

Are you also tired of the excessive music, noise, and vibrations that come from Cescaphe's event venue at the Waterworks?

For two years, we have been consistently impacted by noise pollution emanating from Cescaphe's event venue at the Waterworks (640 Waterworks Drive, Philadelphia). The excessive bass and noise during events disrupt our ability to enjoy our home in peace. A personal incident that deeply affected us, and finally lead to this petition, was when our beloved dog passed away on October 2nd. We spent the last night we had with her down at the venue pleading with them to turn down their bass, instead of being able to enjoy the little time we had left with her.

Beyond just our personal situation, noise pollution is not just an inconvenience; it has significant negative health impacts. According to the World Health Organization, prolonged exposure can lead to stress-related illnesses, high blood pressure, sleep disruption, and even heart disease.

Our right to enjoy our homes without this disturbance is being violated.

We are not asking for a complete cessation of events at Cescaphe's venue but for them to be more considerate about their sound levels during these events. We believe that it is possible for them to hold their functions without causing such distressing disturbances in our neighborhood. However, if they can't do so, then the City needs to terminate their contract and deny them the right to use public parkland as a public nuisance instead of a public good.

Being in a city doesn't mean that we have to put up with bad neighbors. We all deserve to enjoy the neighborhood we call home.

If you are a resident of Fairmount, or just someone who wants to enjoy Fairmount Park in peace, please sign this petition demanding that Cescaphe prevent noise pollution that is generated at their Waterworks venue from impacting our lives every weekend.
