I often shop at my local Walmart in North Georgia, and one Sunday after church, I was surprised to find a product called Bitchin’ Sauce in the refrigerated section. The name of this product seemed out of place and potentially offensive in a setting that's frequented by families. In a time when we're all working towards a society of respect and decency, it's disappointing to encounter such language in the aisles where our children shop with us. While the company behind the product has the right to select their branding, consumer impact is significant. According to the Cone Communications CSR Study in 2017, 87% of consumers will back a company that champions an issue they care about. Promoting respectful and considerate language is surely one of those issues. I urge Bitchin’ Sauce to consider a rebrand to a name that aligns more closely with family-friendly values. This change would demonstrate their respect for shoppers' preferences and support the cultivation of a respectful community.
