Demand Better Standards and Support at Parade College

Demand Better Standards and Support at Parade College
The issue
An open letter to all whom will read this,
As a current Year 10 student at Parade College, I write this petition fueled by dissatisfaction and an urge for change. Despite our school’s reputable image, my fellow students and I grapple daily with the reality of an educational institution marked by incompetence and neglect.
My friends and I feel like the school hasn't put effort into education or mental health and seemingly do the bare minimum to churn out students and make as much money as possible, as if all the care is given to new buildings, advertising and of course making it seem as if it's all ok.
The staff at Parade College continually prove to be unhelpful, contributing to an atmosphere not conducive to learning. This lack of support is married with an overbearing enforcement of unnecessary rules such as a strict no phone policy, inadvertently fostering resentment among students. However, when it comes to addressing genuine concerns such as educational quality, student support, and a variety of other important issues, there is an alarming void of initiative.
Misrepresentation of the on-ground situation is frankly, a deceitful approach to lure prospective students into a false sense of promise. Instead, we desire for prompt action through which our concerns can be heard, considered and acted upon.
There is rampant bullying on campus, fights and threats of violence being common place. To which the school has done nothing, reports being filed mean nothing, so some friends and I made this petition,
This petition is our collective effort to voice our grievances. We invite not only students but also parents, guardians, alumni, educators, and anyone who believes in the power of quality education, to sign this petition. Let us call for transparency, demand accountability, and advocate for the betterment of Parade College.
Dare to make a difference in our education, and our future. Sign the petition today. It may not mean much but signing it will give us a sign that people care, maybe enough to make a difference and hopefully this reaches the Edmund Rice Education Australia council and board, maybe at least the people in charge of Parade College.
