I am a determined and committed student from the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD), struggling to carry out my academic responsibilities due to the slow performance of my school-provided chrome book. Just like many of my peers, I have faced numerous challenges due to the inefficient technology. This is no way to learn and grow, especially in a world so heavily digitized.

Did you know that in recent surveys, a large number of students and educators have reported that the quality of learning devices directly impacts students' academic performance? A recently published study by the National Education Association underlines that up-to-date technology is an essential tool for effective learning, with roughly 88% of surveyed teachers agreeing that technology is a crucial element in teaching (NEA, 2020).

It's time the ICCSD addresses this problem. By providing better laptops, that mean faster and more reliable devices, the district will not only enhance the academic experience of every student but will also make a significant step in preparing us for a world where technological proficiency is a must. We need change and we need it now. Sign our petition urging the ICCSD to provide better laptops for students.
