We can glean what Zionism is by studying the antisemitism and social cohesion Royal Commission

Consider this statement by Sarah Schwartz, of the Jewish Council of Australia, regarding her experience of testifying before the Royal Commission. She was finally given leave to testify, one of the few Jewish people speaking out against Israel's genocide in Gaza allowed to address the RC:

"I was really feeling the weight of representing Jews who support Palestinian freedom and justice. ... Every serious masthead took my evidence with the weight the Commission did. Even the Australian Jewish News reported factually and published an op-ed decrying some of the abuse I’ve experienced. Unsurprisingly, that op-ed was later taken down, underscoring just how sclerotic legacy Jewish institutions have become in their efforts to silence dissent. The Murdoch Press published a strangely sympathetic story: “Jewish advocate targeted with disturbing online content”, in which they conveniently failed to mention that they had promoted that content. One has to laugh at their gall. "
