Georgia Animal Rescue and Defense (GARD) has been operating in violation of Department of Agriculture's regulations of licensed animal welfare agencies for years, before being issued a recent STOP OPERATIONS order. 

The DOA actively - and rightly - monitors the operations of other licensed rescues in the area with regular site visits, record reviews, and foster inspections. 

This petition formally requests an investigation by the Georgia Office of the Inspector General Nigel Lange into the DOA's lack of oversight of GARD. The citizens of Georgia should be confident that our DOA is holding accountable all licensed rescue organizations to prevent the cruelty and suffering of animals.
