This is personal to me because I am one of the 'Forgotten Boys.' The photograph I've shared is not merely a snapshot from my past but rather a resounding testament to a childhood that was spent entrapped within a system that miserably failed at its most basic duty of care. For 22 long years, we were silenced and told to keep our truth hidden. For 22 years, we have waited painstakingly for justice and truth to emerge.

Today, as an adult seeking to reconcile the shadows of my past, I find myself confronting 'Ghost Papers’—peculiar legal documents purportedly from 2004, yet ominously bearing digital signatures and metadata from 2026. These papers are very real in their intent to deny my truth. High-profile legal firms, representing Liverpool City Council, audaciously assert that critical documents don’t exist and dismiss testimonies by claiming that 'witnesses aren't credible.' This has added more trauma, hindering the healing process we so desperately need.

Lower Lee Boarding School, located in a region previously overlooked, becomes the notorious epicenter of systematic abuse where vulnerable children were denied protection and justice. The tale of horrors echoed within its walls is not just an indictment of a single institution but highlights the broader malaise in the child protection system that has let countless others suffer.

We call on the authorities to acknowledge the buried truths. We demand an immediate Independent Public Inquiry into the systematic abuse that took place at Lower Lee Boarding School. Such an inquiry should comprehensively cover the roles of those who failed to act and hold accountable all parties involved in the negligence and abuse.

Additionally, there must be a forensic investigation into the suspicious reconstruction of legal documents by the triumvirate of legal firms poised to safeguard Liverpool City Council from scrutiny. Transparency must be prioritized to ensure this miscarriage of justice is never repeated.
