I’ve seen firsthand how harmful behaviors can be ignored or minimized when leadership prioritizes protecting itself over the people. Speaking up often comes with the risk of being silenced, isolated, or discredited. I believe in our sovereignty and our responsibility to one another, and I cannot stay silent when our systems fail to protect those who come forward. This petition is about ensuring no one has to face that alone again.

We call on Tlingit & Haida to hire an independent, trauma-informed investigator to review policy, leadership behavior, including President Richard Peterson, COO Helgesen, OTP Director Dybdahl, and HR’s handling of misconduct. Create a safe, confidential process for impacted people to come forward; investigate past and current complaints; and commit to public transparency on scope and findings. For too long, harm has been buried to protect reputations instead of people. Accountability isn’t division; it’s protection and the foundation of trust. We’re asking for truth, justice, and concrete action now.
