Demand an Independent Investigation into FIFA, the Disqualification of Argentina, and Sanctions for Racism

A Matter of Principle

Every football fan has the right to believe that what they witness on the pitch is genuine; that players compete on equal terms; and that trophies are earned through sporting merit, not through factors unrelated to fair competition.

We cannot allow suspicion, controversy, or any potential irregularities to undermine the credibility of the sport. It is deeply concerning when doubts arise about the transparency of a tournament whose foundation should be fair play, impartiality, and respect for the rules.

In this context, public allegations and concerns have been raised regarding possible irregularities involving FIFA and the Argentina National Team. Regardless of the outcome, these allegations undermine the confidence of millions of fans in the integrity of international competitions. The FIFA World Cup, the highest stage of world football, cannot afford to be overshadowed by questions about its legitimacy.

We therefore call for an independent, thorough, and transparent investigation to establish the facts and determine whether any violations of sporting integrity, impartiality, or FIFA regulations have occurred.

We also call for any acts of racism, xenophobia, or discrimination committed by supporters or individuals associated with the Argentina National Team to be thoroughly investigated and, if substantiated, sanctioned in accordance with FIFA regulations. Racism and discrimination have no place in sport and must be met with firm and meaningful consequences.

Should the investigation establish violations of sporting integrity or applicable FIFA regulations, we call for the appropriate sanctions to be imposed, including the disqualification of the Argentina National Team from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, if warranted under the applicable rules and the findings of the investigation.

Sport is far more than entertainment. It represents effort, merit, respect, and justice. Its credibility depends on the equal application of the rules to every team, every federation, and every participant, without exception.
