Where are our leaders

WHERE ARE OUR LEADERS?
Todd Smith has traveled to Milam County and is spending several days getting to know the community, listening to residents, and continuing to seek answers regarding the concerns surrounding Dogtown Ranch Rescue & Sanctuary.

He and his helper found a small cabin to rent while they are there. In an encouraging twist, the cabin owner has a history of supporting animals and the community, including helping raise funds to build an animal shelter in the area.

There are people in this community who care. There are people who want animals protected. There are people who want answers.

But after watching Todd's recent live video, I am left with an even bigger question:

WHERE ARE OUR LEADERS?
During the live, Todd took a phone call that viewers could not hear. Afterward, Todd stated that the Sheriff's Office had made it clear they were not willing to sit down for a meal, meet with them, or participate in an investigation.

I cannot independently verify what was said on the other end of that phone call, so I will not present it as established fact.

But I can ask questions.

Why has there not been a thorough, independent investigation into the allegations surrounding Dogtown?

I am not saying Dogtown is guilty.

Read that again.

I am asking for an investigation that is thorough, impartial, transparent, and conducted by authorities who do not have personal or local relationships that could create even the appearance of a conflict of interest.

If Dogtown has done nothing wrong, an independent investigation can establish that.

If laws have been violated, the animals and the public deserve to know that too.

So today I am asking:

Where are our state and federal leaders?

President Donald Trump.
Governor Greg Abbott.
Federal Bureau of Investigation.
USDA.
Texas state authorities and appropriate investigative agencies.

We are asking you to LOOK.

Determine which agencies have jurisdiction. Review the evidence. Interview the witnesses. Examine the records. Investigate the allegations.

Don't decide innocence based on friendships, politics, reputation, or who knows whom.

FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE.

This isn't about choosing sides.

It's about finding the truth.

The animals cannot request an investigation.
