The superintendent did respond to my e-mail. Today April 18th.

I paraphrased what was in the email from the superintendent.

For clarification the superintendent did originally reach out to me on Tuesday night via Facebook Messenger. He gave me his e-mail address and invited me to sit down with him. I spent the day Wednesday composing my e-mail responding.

The next step was I sent him an e-mail Thursday morning with my concerns and attached questions from an anonymous person.

He wanted me to make known he did respond even though the Change.org shows he didn't respond yet. I will try to get that corrected. So, he is the decision maker that responded to me starting Tuesday night.

The superintendent is concerned that this petition does not accurately reflect his willingness to engage in these conversations. He stressed that he takes great pride in communicating openly with the public and being transparent. 

He also wanted me to reflect the district is currently in at a $2.1 million deficit not a budget deficit. I will make that correction.

The superintendent extended an invitation for me to sit down with him.

A reporter from The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel contacted the superintendent and I for questions. I will notify the reporter that the Superintendent did respond to my email.
