I am a young Canadian, watching my country's situation with growing concern. There are voices in our streets frighteningly chanting “death to Canada, death to the USA and death to Israel”. There are allegations of our own MPs colluding with foreign enemies. These are not the symbols of the Canada I envisioned spending my life in. As a country, we are verging on a downward spiral that could spell disaster for our economy and our lives.

It is evident that many Canadians share my concerns about the current government. A recent Angus Reid survey shows that just 33% of Canadians approve of how the government is running things, a decrease from 46% in 2015 (source: Angus Reid Institute). This discontent suggests a lack of confidence in our government's ability to manage our nation's critical issues. We cannot ignore these alarming statistics.

The time for change is now. We call for an immediate federal election. Our aim is not simply to critique our current government, but rather to assert our democratic right to choose leadership that reflects our values and concerns. This is a necessary step to restore faith in our country's governance.
