Demand an end to the persecution of the Unification Church

Demand an end to the persecution of the Unification Church
The Issue
For several years now, I have been a devoted member of the Unification Church, and it has brought immense peace, purpose, and community to my life. Through this faith, I have found a spiritual family, united under the guidance of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who continues to inspire millions with her message of peace and harmony. However, the joy and comfort once experienced is now overshadowed by the harsh reality of growing persecution against our religious community and Mother Moon by the governments of South Korea and Japan.
The Unification Church, also known as the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, has faced increasing hostility and unjust treatment from governmental entities in Japan and South Korea. These nations, which pride themselves on upholding human rights and religious freedoms, seem to falter when it comes to the rights of our community. We are witnessing a concerning trend where our members face unwarranted scrutiny, discrimination, and at times, harassment solely based on our faith.
This oppression not only contradicts international human rights norms, which uphold the freedom of religion as a fundamental right, but it also shatters the very notion of dignity and liberty that these democratic nations stand for. According to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion; these rights are being blatantly disregarded in our case.
We call upon President Trump, the UN, the President of South Korea, and the Prime Minister of Japan to take immediate and decisive action to cease this unjust persecution. It is imperative that these leaders recognize and respect the religious freedoms of all, ensuring that policies and practices reflect these principles earnestly.
In the face of adversity, I pledge to initiate a worldwide boycott against South Korean and Japanese travel, and a protest against goods from these countries until our rights are restored, and the persecution ends. Join me in making your voice heard. By signing this petition, you become part of a vital movement towards upholding religious freedom and fostering universal peace, and send a powerful message to the governments of Japan and South Korea that unfair persecution will not be tolerated. Please sign and share this petition to support the Unification Church and advocate for justice for all religious minorities worldwide.
