Wake Up Call, The Times is Warning of Dangers!

Save Central Park NYC
Nov 18, 2021

The New York Times Warns of Dangers Inherent in Supertalls.
The Uniformed Firefighters have done the same.
What is it going to take???

* Read James Barron's article in The New York Times here.  "Temporary Certificates of Occupancy" are not acceptable -- especially where new construction techniques are being employed.
                              Safety should be paramount.
* Read the firefighters appeal on void spaces here.
When will our elected officials take this seriously?
Does everything have to be addressed AFTER a dangerous event occurs?

Let's ACT!

Email or call the New York State leadership listed below. If you wrote in the past, it is time to write again! Share with 2 friends, politicians hear the loudest voices.

Sample Letter:

The New York Times is sending out the alarm on safety as it relates to Supertalls. The Uniformed Firefighters Association has also warned of the hazards presented by voids to both FDNY and residents. They believe such developments present an unnecessary danger and do not have a reasonable purpose.

It is urgent that you address these issues. Developers are in a race to the top while residents of the City are being subject unprecedented and avoidable safety concerns.

Our neighborhoods and Central Park are also subject to forever shadows which denigrate our quality of life.

The out-of-context Mega-Towers are fraying the neighborhood fabric and they present a danger to the FDNY responders and tenants alike.

Please be proactive now ... don't wait for a catastrophe to act!
