This issue strikes a personal cord not just with me, but with anyone who values the life and dignity of the creatures with whom we share our Earth. It's a fight against battery farming of cattle, pigs, and chickens, also known as mega-farming. This practice confines animals in enclosures so small that they never experience the freedom to roam, feel the sun or rain, or live by natural daylight. Picture living beings that we owe so much of our existence to, locked away in such desolation for the entirety of their shortened lives.

We are speaking up against buying animal products generated through mega-farm strategies. These methods only serve to enrich the farm owners and sellers, completely disregarding the welfare of the animals caught in their nets of greed. It's a state of affairs that goes beyond being morally wrong.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, globally close to 80% of pig meat and chicken meat comes from industrial systems. Likewise, in high-income countries, around 50% of the beef meat comes from intensive production systems. I find it unfathomable that such cruelty-rich practices account for major portions of our food supply.
