Good Afternoon Esteemed Mayor, Council, and City Manager,
There has been ongoing misconduct at the Falcon Field Airport by the Airport Administration for almost two decades. Over the past year, the Airport Director and her accomplices in various City Departments have been unethically and unlawfully performing their duties. The Airport Director documented herself willfully breaching our lease agreement and violating laws; after the Foundation reported fire code violations committed by the Joint Liability Tenant.
The Falcon Warbirds Foundation has donated formation flights to the City of Mesa Veterans Day Parade for the last ten years. Even when the Airport Director locked us out of the facilities, we still donated a flight for 2023. Your assistance in addressing the issues of misconduct and negative behavior exhibited by these employees is greatly needed.
The Foundation and our supporters respectfully ask you to start the accountability process for the Airport Director per the Mesa City Charter, Article I, Section 208, and Article III, Section 302 (B). The primary items of concern are breach of lease agreements, creating false contracts, and using taxpayer funding to defend wrongdoing.
