The Issue

Today, I’m choosing not to stay silent anymore. Too many children and too many animals are being abused, neglected, and failed by the very systems meant to protect them. Too many wellness checks never happen. Too many warnings get ignored. Too many lives are stolen because someone didn’t do their job… and no one held them accountable.

We are calling for real reform and the implementation of stricter laws to protect the most vulnerable among us: our children and animals. Despite countless cases of abuse and neglect, the systems designed to safeguard them often fall short due to lack of accountability and efficiency. A significant number of wellness checks are either delayed or not conducted at all, leaving victims powerless and without a voice.

We must amplify their voices by demanding accountability from those in power. This means holding individuals and institutions responsible when they fail to protect our children and animals. We advocate for the creation of community-driven wellness checks, empowering local communities to act proactively to ensure safety and well-being.

Statistics show that thousands of abuse cases go unreported each year. According to national reports, an estimated 1 in 7 children in the United States experiences abuse or neglect annually, while over 10 million animals are abused across the country. These figures highlight a dire need for change and reform.

We urge decision-makers to introduce legislation that enforces stricter penalties for neglect and abuse, ensures mandatory wellness checks for at-risk individuals and animals, and institutes community advocacy programs that involve citizens in oversight roles.

Together, we can build a safe environment where children and animals are protected and cared for. Join our movement to demand the accountability needed to drive real reform. Stand with us by signing this petition. Make your voice heard for those who cannot speak for themselves.
