DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: BURGLARY, UNLAWFUL REMOVAL, AND THE WITHHOLDING OF MY PERSONAL PROPERTY

I am asking for an independent investigation and accountability

I am creating this petition because I need the public to understand what happened to me and to demand accountability, transparency, and an independent investigation.

I was burglarized while I was not home, and I was subsequently unlawfully removed from the residence while my personal belongings were removed from the property and placed into a storage unit that I never rented.

This was not a court-ordered eviction.

As of today, I have never received an eviction notice, court judgment, or court order authorizing my removal from the residence.

I have evidence documenting what happened, including police reports, text messages, and video footage.

There is also a felony burglary case pending with the State Prosecutor.

I am not asking the public to determine anyone’s guilt. I am asking that the evidence be independently reviewed and that anyone found responsible for wrongdoing be held accountable.

 

WHAT HAPPENED TO ME

While I was away from the residence, my belongings were burglarized and unlawfully interfered with.

When I returned, I discovered what had happened.

I was subsequently unlawfully removed from the residence, and my personal belongings were taken from the property and placed into a storage unit.

I did not authorize the removal of my belongings.

I did not personally rent the storage unit.

I did not consent to having my property placed there.

I have documented evidence concerning these events, including police reports, text messages, and video.

The consequences have been devastating. I have been left without stable housing and separated from many of my personal possessions.

 

A FELONY BURGLARY CASE IS PENDING

This matter is already the subject of a pending felony burglary case with the State Prosecutor.

I have reported the criminal conduct and provided information and evidence to law enforcement.

I am asking that the criminal investigation be allowed to proceed independently and that all relevant evidence be preserved.

That evidence includes, but is not limited to:

Police reports
Body-camera footage
My video recordings
Text messages and other communications
Photographs
Witness statements
Storage-unit records
Documentation concerning who authorized the removal of my belongings
Any available surveillance footage
Records identifying who rented or controlled the storage unit
Any other evidence concerning the possession, removal, or disposition of my property

 

THE PEOPLE I HAVE IDENTIFIED IN THIS MATTER

I have identified Siobhan Edwards as the person I believe was responsible for victimizing me.

I understand Siobhan Edwards is the president of the Plantation City Chamber of Commerce.

Her daughters, Kimberly Edwards, whom I understand owns West Delray Collision, and Courtney Edwards, were also involved in circumstances surrounding what happened to me.

I am not asking the public to determine whether any individual is criminally responsible.

That determination belongs to investigators, prosecutors, and the courts.

I am asking that the conduct, communications, relationships, and evidence involving everyone who participated in these events be fully investigated.

 

MY BELONGINGS WERE PLACED IN A STORAGE UNIT I NEVER RENTED

One of the most serious unresolved issues is what happened to my personal property after I was unlawfully removed from the residence.

My belongings were placed into a storage unit that I never rented and never authorized.

I am now trying to obtain access to property that belongs to me.

The storage company has been made aware of the circumstances surrounding my property and the pending criminal matter. I have attempted to communicate with the storage facility about my belongings and the circumstances under which they came into its possession.

I have been unable to get the answers I need.

I want the following questions answered:

Who rented the storage unit?

Who authorized my belongings to be placed there?

What documentation was provided to the storage company?

Did the person who arranged the storage have legal authority to remove and store my property?

Who currently has access to my belongings?

What steps did the storage company take to verify who had authority over my property?

Why is property belonging to me being held under a storage agreement that I never entered into?

I am asking that my belongings be protected from destruction, disposal, sale, transfer, or unauthorized access while the criminal and legal matters are being investigated.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE LAW-ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE

I am also demanding an independent review of the response by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement was involved in the events surrounding my unlawful removal, and I have serious concerns about whether my rights and my property were adequately protected.

I am asking for an independent review of:

The Sheriff’s Office response to the incident.
The circumstances surrounding my removal from the residence.
The handling of my burglary complaint.
Whether all available evidence was properly collected and preserved.
Whether appropriate investigative procedures were followed.
Whether my personal property was adequately protected.
Whether applicable policies and procedures were followed.
Whether any conflicts of interest or other circumstances affected the response.
Whether additional investigation is warranted.
I am not asking anyone to prejudge the outcome.

I am asking for the evidence to be independently reviewed.

 

WHAT I AM DEMANDING

I am calling for:

1. An independent investigation

A complete and impartial investigation into the burglary, unlawful removal, handling of my property, storage of my belongings, and law-enforcement response.

2. Preservation of evidence

All police records, body-camera footage, videos, text messages, photographs, storage records, surveillance footage, and other relevant evidence should be preserved.

3. Protection and recovery of my property

My personal belongings should not be destroyed, sold, discarded, transferred, or otherwise disposed of while these matters remain unresolved.

4. Investigation of the storage arrangement

I want the circumstances surrounding the storage unit and the authority of the person who placed my belongings there fully investigated.

5. Accountability

If an investigation establishes that any individual, organization, or official violated the law or applicable policies, appropriate action should be taken.

6. Transparency

I want meaningful answers regarding how my complaints, evidence, and property have been handled.

7. Protection from retaliation

I should not face retaliation for reporting criminal conduct, providing evidence, seeking the return of my property, or publicly requesting accountability.

 

WHY I AM SPEAKING OUT

I never expected to find myself in this position.

I was away from my home when I was burglarized. I returned to discover that my life and belongings had been disrupted, and I was subsequently unlawfully removed from the residence.

My belongings were then placed into a storage unit that I never rented.

I am now left trying to navigate a criminal investigation, obtain my personal property, and get answers from the institutions and businesses involved.

I have police reports.

I have text messages.

I have video evidence.

And there is a pending felony burglary case with the State Prosecutor.

I am not asking anyone to decide guilt or innocence through a petition.

I am asking for the evidence to be investigated.

If the evidence establishes that wrongdoing occurred, I want the responsible parties held accountable.

If the evidence establishes otherwise, I want that determination to come from a fair, independent investigation based on the facts.
