Demand Accountability from Saudi Crown Prince for the Killing of Journalist Khashoggi
The Issue
It’s been seven years since journalist Jamal Khashoggi walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul—and never walked out.
What followed was a brutal, state-sanctioned murder that shocked the world and sent a chilling message to anyone who dares to speak out against authoritarian regimes.
Now, as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) returns to the White House, there has still been no justice.
No apology to Jamal’s widow, Hanan Elatr Khashoggi. No formal accountability for the killing. And no action to ensure this never happens again.
The journalist's family did not forget. And we will not be silent.
We, the undersigned, demand that the United States government:
- Officially recognize Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s responsibility in the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, based on U.S. intelligence findings
- Hold MBS and all individuals involved in the operation accountable.
Jamal Khashoggi was a Washington Post columnist, a U.S. resident, and a peaceful advocate for freedom and reform. He should never have been silenced—let alone dismembered—for his words.
To hear U.S. leaders describe him as merely “controversial” or to sit beside MBS as though nothing happened is not just disrespectful—it’s dangerous. It tells the world that authoritarian leaders can murder dissidents and still be welcomed at the highest levels of power.
We call on every citizen who believes in press freedom, justice, and the right to speak without fear to join this petition.
Justice for Jamal is long overdue. Let’s demand it now.
