I have been living under distressful conditions in a property managed by RC Management. It's not just my story but echoes the voice of every current and former tenant who has faced a myriad of ordeals renting from them. The seriousness of our concerns cannot be overstated: black mold spreads unchecked through our homes, leaking pipes and roofs result in water damage, while pervasive pest infestations have become a part of our daily lives. Many of us have tripped over unsafe flooring, dealt with precarious stairs, and have witnessed the deterioration of foundational elements, from chimneys breaking through walls to cracked ceilings and walls.

These issues are compounded by pervasive infrastructural neglect. We have outdated ventilation systems littered with holes, dents, and cracks, coupled with floor vents that are not just bent and deformed but alarmingly unsanitary, regardless of our cleaning efforts. And the carpeting — it's a relic of bygone decades, saturated with germs and bacteria, despite our best attempts to maintain it.

Despite recurrent pleas for aid and rectification, RC Management's response has been dishearteningly inadequate. They employ maintenance personnel who lack proper certification and training, leading to unresolved issues and escalated wear and tear. Moreover, tenants face illegal charges for EPA-certified pets, frequently receiving unjust bills without reimbursement, and are besieged by unjustifiable rent hikes and surcharges that burdensome financial strain.

What compounds this dire situation is the falsification of documentation, coupled with flagrant violations of health and safety codes, and the deliberate overlooking of mandatory updates to ensure tenant safety and property upkeep. It is inexcusably wrong for any tenant to live in such conditions, burdened by fear and frustration.

We need to take a stand. It’s time for change and accountability at RC Management. We must compel them to honor their obligations to provide safe, livable conditions and adhere strictly to the legal standards meant to protect tenants. This petition calls for a thorough and transparent inquiry into RC Management's practices and a mandate for them to fulfill all their legal and ethical responsibilities urgently.
