Demand Accountability from Phenix City Walmart Pharmacy
The Issue
It was the pharmacist and staff being racist to me. But falsely accused me of racism. To the pharmacist.
I've been a loyal customer at Walmart in Phenix City for over 30 years, even before it became a super center. Since 2020, I've depended on the Phenix City Walmart Super Center Pharmacy to fill my necessary medication. Recently, this regular routine turned into a disturbing and disheartening experience. The pharmacy staff unjustly denied my medication, which is crucial for my health, and subsequently banned me from the pharmacy based on false accusations.
The pharmacy had my cough medication ready. Then out of the blue the pharmacy said my doctor discontinued and told the staff to put it back. I had just been to my doctor and disgust my medications and she didn’t discontinue it.
It was all harassment and discrimination. Walmart claims not to tolerate discrimination. Well they allowed it to happen in my situation. The lying pharmacist also told the staff they weren’t allowed to talk to me anymore. Which is cruel and unjust.
The incident began when I was informed that my doctor had allegedly discontinued my medication. This information was false and misleading. Such an unjust denial of medication is not only cruel but dangerous, especially for someone like me who relies on consistent medication for health management.
What followed was even more hurtful – I was falsely accused by the pharmacist of saying a racial slur, leading to my unwarranted ban from the pharmacy. These actions by the pharmacist and staff are not just unprofessional; they are deeply unjust. This is not how a customer—particularly someone who has been loyal for decades—should be treated.
This petition aims to hold the Phenix City Walmart Super Center Pharmacy accountable for their actions. Pharmacists and pharmacy staff have a duty to provide medication safely and without prejudice or malice. False accusations and denying essential medication are serious violations of this duty.
We demand that Walmart investigates these claims thoroughly and ensures that no other customer faces such cruel and unjust treatment. It's vital to implement better training and oversight of pharmacy staff to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
