Our family currently faces the heart-wrenching threat of separation due to immigration issues. But this struggle is about more than just us—it's about countless families across the U.S. experiencing the same fear and uncertainty. Through our organization, Voices Without Borders, we’ve witnessed the profound impact of immigration policies on everyday lives. Our mission is to provide vital aid, support families left in turmoil and amplify the cries for much-needed U.S. immigration reform.

Right now, there is an urgent need to hold the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) accountable for their actions. We call upon them to ensure transparency and fairness and propose the following actionable solutions:

1. **Third-Party Audits of Detention Facilities:** Conduct independent audits to ensure that detention centers meet humanitarian standards. These audits will help prevent abuse and ensure that conditions within these facilities are humane and respectful of detainee rights.

2. **Public Reports Every Six Months:** Provide regular and accessible public reports detailing the conditions, medical care, and treatment of detainees. These reports will offer crucial insights to the public, advocating for improvements where necessary.

3. **Bipartisan Enforcement Focused on Criminals:** Implement an immigration enforcement policy that prioritizes targeting criminals over separating hardworking, law-abiding families. It’s imperative that the focus shifts from disrupting families to protecting the public.

Families are slipping through the cracks of a broken system. Together, we have the power to change this. By standing united, raising awareness, and driving the signatures needed, we can push for genuine reform and accountability. Let's remind America that when we say, 'home of the free, land of the brave,' we genuinely mean it.

Join us in demanding these necessary changes and sign this petition to pave the way for a better, fairer future in U.S. immigration policy.
