I am a survivor teetering on the precipice of homelessness—again—due to what I perceive as failures in the Hopelink Rapid Rehousing (RRH) program in Southern Nevada. A fierce struggle for stability has been clouded by a forced graduation from the program with no lifeline in sight.

The RRH program was supposed to be my lifeline, my hope for a stable future. Instead, I found myself in a whirlwind of disappointment and desperation, facing denial of essential requests. From denying the financial support needed for necessary career-boosting education to refusing to provide required assistance for car legalities - crucial in maintaining employment, the failures are multiple.

It appears to me that the RRH only stands by when it comes to the disbursement of rent, and as soon as their obligation ends, so does their support, leaving us, the program participants, vulnerable to the realities of potential homelessness once again. Their actions, or rather inaction, have led me to believe there's a potential for breach of contract, negligence, and even violation of HUD regulations.

The urgency to demand the necessary modifications in RRH's practices has never been greater. Hence, I call upon every compassionate citizen, human rights advocate, and concerned authority to transform this personal story into a collective call for change.
