I, like many Americans, am deeply troubled by Senator Susan Collins' failure to confirm all of President Trump's cabinet nominees. This action disregards the mandate from the American people to put America First. We had elected President Trump with the expectation of an administration dedicated to putting our country first. Senator Collins, by not confirming these nominees, subverts our democratic process. According to a study from Pew Research Center, 62% of U.S. adults believe that the Senate should give serious consideration to all Presidential nominees (Pew Research Center, 2020). In a recent Howie Carr poll, 91% of participants want Collins primaried for voting against Pete Hegseth (Howie Carr Show, 2025). As members of the public, it is our expectation that our representatives act in the best interest of the national mandate. We must demand accountability and responsiveness from our elected officials. This includes Senator Collins. By signing this petition, we demand that Senator Collins consider the will of the people and put America First when voting on future cabinet nominees and President Trump’s agenda. We demand the Maine GOP censure Collins!
