I, as an employee and deeply concerned community member, stand witness to the grave consequences of reckless actions. Our Superintendent, John Hurd, of Trimble Local Schools has, through financial negligence, led our institution into a significant debt of $3 million. His careless overspending has caused personnel cuts across all levels, from teaching staff to administrators and support staff. We are losing key pillars, altering the educational environment dramatically.

Our community trusted Hurd to manage our resources wisely, a trust that has been severely exploited and shattered. Not only has this led to the loss of the jobs of many esteemed colleagues, but it has also forced several staff members into undesirable positions. This financial mismanagement hits most cruelly at our school children who are now at the risk of losing essential educational support.

Commenting on the disarray, the Board of Education should not remain silent and passive; it needs to take drastic, immediate action. We must hold Hurd accountable for the financial chaos he's created, and thus, we call for his termination.

This is not merely a question of rectifying a financial imbalance, but a demand for justice, responsibility, and future safeguarding of our education system.
