Being a Year 12 student blessed with a strong intellect, I was on my path to a guaranteed 99.95 ATAR. But following the unforeseen and unjust circumstances created by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), I find myself inconsolable, teary-eyed, and fearing the 12th of December when my ATAR will not reflect my true potential. I am not the only one. I know that many other students will share my predicament, receiving an undeserved ATAR solely because of the unjust actions of the VCAA.

The unjust examination conditions created by VCAA can potentially impact the futures of countless students - indeed, our instance is not isolated. The inequitable conditions set by them have pushed bright, deserving students to the point of despair. This is a grievous violation of our educational rights, and their failure to make reparations is unacceptable.

We are calling upon governments, education departments, and all relevant authorities to hold VCAA accountable for their action. We demand that they rectify the situation and make the necessary reparations. We will not stand by as they toy with our futures. Our ATAR should reflect our hard work and dedication, not the failed policies of a neglectful authority.
