Demand Accountability and Better Service from Coggin Honda of St. Augustine

The Issue

I am a resident of St. Augustine, FL, USA who has personally suffered financial loss due to the negligence of Coggin Honda and its affiliates. My new vehicle was deprived of its manufacturer warranty by this company, leading to catastrophic engine failure that could have been avoided with proper service.
Despite my efforts to bring in the vehicle to their service department with printed out trouble codes and a list of symptoms that I was experiencing. However, I was always approached with the same speech, “According to Hondas standards, there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and we could not duplicate the issues.” After much debate about the issue and them not budging on trying to diagnose the problem, I took their “professional word” for it and left. Essentially ignoring the problems that were there that led to catastrophic engine failure after so long. Of course it happened when I was out of warranty… so I had the vehicle towed back into Honda this last time . Coggin Honda's certified technicians further exacerbated the damage by jump-starting an already damaged engine. This action not only destroyed my vehicle's engine even more so but now rendering it completely useless even for parting out. Turning the engine over caused my engine to completely shift forward which caused other vital parts such as my transmission, my pulley system, intercooler, catalytic converter, possibly the  turbo, and the entire exhaust system to be damaged which is going to cost significantly more to repair. They already quoted me around $5k the first time I saw an estimate but went up to around $6600 the next time I saw the updated estimate, and now has gone up to OVER $7k just for the initial engine damage (not including the other damage I noticed after I got it towed back to my house).

This is not just about my personal loss; it is about holding businesses like this accountable for their actions and ensuring they provide quality customer service. It is unacceptable that a reputable company like Coggin Honda of St Augustine can evade responsibility in such a manner. They have an ongoing problem in their service department which is not being addressed properly which is reflected in customer reviews and personal experiences shared on social media platforms from our local community.

We need to bring awareness to this issue so that other customers do not suffer the same fate as I did. By signing this petition, we are demanding accountability, transparency, and some sort of level of resolution for myself as well as everyone who has had or potentially will have unacceptable services from Coggin Honda of St Augustine and all its business partners or affiliates such as COGGIN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, ASBURY AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR COMPANY.
