On the Roblox platform, unfortunately, it is full of predators, toxic players, exploiters, and people creating inappropriate items by exploiting loopholes in the AI-based moderation system. This automated moderation has been widely used on Roblox for years and has shown a shocking lack of effectiveness. It often results in unfair bans while ignoring inappropriate content such as animations, clothing, or games. Recently, we witnessed its complete failure in dealing with so-called "public bathroom" games, which are deeply inappropriate and unmonitored.

Roblox has transformed from a simple gaming platform into a major space where millions of users, primarily children, interact daily. However, its existing moderation system is failing to protect its users, leading to harmful experiences for many. The reliance on AI for moderation is insufficient and demonstrates shortcomings that can no longer be ignored. The current state of affairs is not only a safety risk but also a breach of trust between Roblox and its vast, young community.

We firmly advocate for a safer and fairer gaming environment. Concrete steps must be taken, starting with enhancing the moderation system by integrating human moderators to oversee and correct the AI system. These moderators should be tasked with handling reports of abuse and ensuring that bans are justly administered and only when truly deserved. Moreover, creating new protocols for detecting and immediately removing inappropriate content, alongside a transparent reporting system, will help rebuild trust within the community.

Furthermore, Roblox Corporation should invest in educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness among parents and guardians about maintaining safe online experiences for their children. Clear guidelines and resources for parents to monitor their child's interactions in a virtual space will empower them to contribute actively to the safety of young gamers.
