🤝 A constructive dialogue for Powai

There has been important progress in our ongoing campaign for a public hearing on the proposed GCC in Powai.

A delegation of Powai Action Forum (PAF), led by Dr. Ratan Sharda, met MMRDA Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee and senior MMRDA officials to place residents’ concerns on record. The delegation submitted 2,000+ physical signatures, along with detailed representations regarding the proposed GCC.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present residents’ concerns regarding traffic, infrastructure, emergency access, parking, drainage and the overall impact of large-scale development on Powai. MMRDA officials listened to the submissions and agreed to examine the issues raised.

But our petition continues.

The message from residents remains clear: before major new development proceeds, Powai deserves a transparent public hearing, current traffic and infrastructure assessment, and meaningful consideration of residents’ concerns.
