On November 2, 2022 during a regular city council meeting, Nogales City Councilman Saulo Bonilla berated and verbally assaulted Councilwoman Liza Montiel for 6 minutes for requesting input from the community on how to spend federal relief funds.

The women of our community need to know that when one of us is degraded, we are all degraded. An attack against the intelligence and initiative of one of our own cannot be tolerated and must be publicly denounced. 

Sign this petition to demand a public apology from Councilman Saulo Bonilla to Councilwoman Liza Montiel for his inappropriate, condescending, and misogynistic behavior during the meeting of November 2, 2022.
