Every day, my heart is heavy with the fear that my child, like every parent’s child, might not return from school. It is unthinkable that school shootings continue to be a persistent nightmare in our society. In Gloucester Township, New Jersey, the safety and security of our children should be our number one priority, yet it feels as though we are not doing enough to protect them.
