ORIOLES LOSE TO YANKEES 5-3 AFTER DISPUTED FOUL CALL ON PETE ALONSO

The Baltimore Orioles lost 5-3 to the New York Yankees after a controversial foul call overturned a potential go-ahead home run by Pete Alonso. The dispute occurred in the bottom of the seventh inning of a tied game when Alonso hit a towering 410-foot fly ball down the left-field line that was ruled foul by third-base umpire Will Little. Despite ball-tracking data and video angles suggesting the ball was fair, MLB’s Replay Operations Center let the call stand due to a lack of definitive evidence.
Following the ruling, the game's momentum shifted significantly:
Alonso struck out immediately after returning to the batter's box to end the seventh inning.
The Yankees rallied for two runs in the top of the eighth inning via an RBI infield single by George Lombard Jr. and a wild pitch.
The Orioles suffered their third straight loss, dropping their record to 61-66.

Both Alonso and manager Craig Albernaz expressed deep disappointment over the replay decision, noting that dugout iPads showed tracking data indicating the ball was fair. Had it counted, the play would have been Alonso's second home run of the night and his 30th of the season. Despite the setback, the Orioles remain just 1.5 games out of the third AL Wild Card spot.

THE UMPIRES SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS CALL THAT ROBBED ALONSO OF HIS 30TH HOME RUN THIS SEASON 😲😲😲
