Demand a national database for animal cruelty cases

Demand a national database for animal cruelty cases
The Issue
Recently there was a case in Vermont where a woman was charged with animal cruelty that owned a rescue. Many of the animals died as a direct result of her neglect. She was shut down but turned around and came to nys to open another rescue and continue her AWFUL treatment of animals. She was shut down and almost 50 dogs removed from her care. Some died even after being removed despite the attempts of veterinarians to save them. This same woman is now trying to buy kennel properties in yet ANOTHER state. I believe if legislature is introduced to start a national database for animal cruelty, people like Hilary Davis can be STOPPED! She is NOT the only person who has committed atrocious acts of cruelty on an animal to turn around and do it again to another animal later. A national database would make it easier for rescues to ensure they aren't adopting animals out to bad people. Unfortunately there is a near 100% recidivism rate for some kinds of animal cruelty. Over 10 million animals die from abuse in the United States every year. I believe in National Database would help to lower those statistics dramatically. Studies have shown that the sex offender registry has helped to reduce sex crimes, so why not introduce one for animals? They don't have a voice.....so be that voice for them!!!!! Sign today and DEMAND a national database for animal cruelty be implemented immediately!
