The effort to turn Bethel into an urban wasteland is accelerating with a proposed 75 unit 8-30g apartment complex on Nashville Road and a 4 story building on Whitney Road as just 2 of the latest examples. 

We demand that the Town of Bethel immediately enact a moratorium on multiunit housing projects. 

We also demand that Bethel officials immediately take an open, public survey of affordable housing and determine if Bethel has met or exceeded the 10% affordable threshold necessary to deny 8-30g projects and that the town publish the results on the official Bethel website.
