We are a collection of deeply concerned parents, guardians, and both current and former staff members, associated with Ivybridge Community College. Repeatedly, our anxieties about our children's well-being, prompted by apparent administrative and policy shortcomings at the school, have been disregarded by those in positions of authority.

Shocking disregard has been shown by the principal, Rachel Hutchinson, and the Senior Leadership Team towards our objections. The WEST school trust, which oversees Ivybridge, has similarly dismissed our anxieties. They've maintained an unsettling cycle of ignoring our concerns, making empty assurances, or flatly lying about any intended actions.

We firmly believe that our children's safety at Ivybridge Community College hangs in the balance. Thus, we demand the immediate suspension of Principal Rachel Hutchinson and the removal of the current Senior Leadership Team from their duties.

Our request doesn't stop at personnel changes, though. We urgently call for a thorough, unbiased examination into the operation of ICC. Specific areas of interest include their policies on behaviour and discipline, the use of reset and reflection rooms, the quality of food and nutrition provided at the school, uniform policy, and the Special Educational Needs department as a whole.

Additionally, the school's security must be rigorously investigated following fears about the site being unsecured.

The situation at Ivybridge Community College warrants urgent action. Every child has the right to a safe and supportive learning environment. Our children deserve no less. Please sign this petition and help ensure our voices are heard, and the necessary changes are made.
