Since 2016, Riverside County Department of Animal Services (RCDAS) has faced significant issues with its data recording process, leading to massively inaccurate public records. Without adequate quality assurance, these errors went undetected internally. Although steps have been taken to address one major set of errors, many disturbing inaccuracies remain. We urge RCDAS to allow us to perform a forensic audit (pro bono and under their supervision) of their data, processes, and algorithms.
